Tips for Kitchen

The kitchen is recommended in the south-east (corner.  the vitamin is ed sun rays enter from the east and the air from the south since the earth revolves around the sun towards Southern zone, therefore this angle is positioned to receive ultraviolet rays replete with vitamins A and D for an extended period of time. This helps in purifying the edibles in the kitchen. Also the solar temperature kills the harmful germs present in the humidity stuck on western wall.

Things which need to be considered  of kitchen have been listed below:

1. Stove should be placed in South-east in such a way that while cooking the person face east. The gas cylinder should be kept behind the stove in the south eastern corner. The stove should be positioned in such a manner that it is not visible from outside the kitchen.
2. Electrical equipments like microwave, oven or refrigerator should be placed in South-west.
3. Place water sink in the North-east with the maximum distance from cooking gas.
4. A dishwasher can be placed in the North-west of the kitchen.
5. Provision for water storage and taps should be made in North-east of the kitchen.
6. The slope for direction of the water flow should be from South-west towards North-east.
7. The racks for storing the ration and other food commodities should be on a wall occupying the western and southern directions.
8. The walls should be colored with light shades of orange, yellow or chocolate brown.
9. Larger windows should be placed in Eastern side while small windows or ventilators should be placed in South.
10. The exhaust fan should be installed either in the North-west corner or the South wall.
11. Dining table should be placed in the North-west direction in kitchen.
12. The clocks, if required in a kitchen, should be placed on the south or south eastern wall.
13. There should be no toilets and bathrooms adjoining, and above or below the kitchen.
14. The door of the kitchen should never face the door of the toilet.
15. Kitchens in north quadrant tend to affect health female members.

However, if choosing alternative then North-west part could be taken for constructing kitchen but avoid making kitchen in any other direction.
